Organized Profit Strategies: Part 3

1. Our tendency is to argue with reality. We all know better; the computer WILL crash again. We can anticipate and allow for it.

Have a back-up drive? Guru on call? Allow a blank half hour in the day? We can minimize this business of getting sidetracked by glitches. Plan to support, not frustrate your self.

2. Begin the process by considering as many options as possible when something does happen, then pick the best  two or three suggestions.

3. Allow more time. There is a direct link between being over extended and things breaking down.  We all know this.  First, slow down in order to increase effectiveness, gain clarity.

4. Stress is the natural enemy of clear thinking. As we continue to bawl ourselves out over any mistakes, the stress level rises.  We then have even more issues.

Hold on!!

Wait a minute...someone is whispering something, so I have to stop this story-----

I actually have an alter ego, who is taller than I, gorgeous, lithe, and absolutely brilliant. Wouldn't you know it?

She reminds me that the reason I write all these bits and tips is to introduce you to me and my service, and that I should let you know I'm in business to serve people just like you.

She reminds me when I get lost in a story, that I also should tell you about my work and how it will benefit you. But, smart as she is, she is forgetting that I have tons of information on the web site. So again, I remind you to go over to the left and take a good look. No extra charge.

Now then, where was I?

5. To break this cycle: begin eavesdropping on that internal dialogue constantly playing in your head. Pick a quiet and relaxed time, like lunch break. It is difficult to switch to listening objectively to this internal voice, instead of believing whatever it says. Practice in short sessions. Evesdrop off and on. You will be very surprised by what you hear.

6. Listening in regularly—enough to be very clear about exactly what is bubbling up from the unconscious—enables us to decide if we want to accept that information and act on it, or consider that a lot of conditioning by society has planted misinformation in there, which we do not want to accept.

7. To the extent that we begin a consistent plan of listening in; just observing without judgment, we generally find a lot of negative messages in the chatter. We can decide to question that very information, to challenge it. The interior talk will gradually change as we question the validity. 

I have been using this approach with myself and with clients for years, and can say it is wonderfully effective.
